DAILY AGENDA, THURSDAY 1/15/09

BRING YOUR W-2 FORM IN AND MAKE A COPY TO TURN IN TO ME

WARM-UP:
1) 10 people lost points yesterday because there was stuff left in their mailbox after class was over.

REMINDERS for Warm-up
* You must check your mailbox as you enter the room each day
* You may not store papers in your mailbox or your folder
* You are to have a folder or notebook for my class and YOU MUST BRING IT TO CLASS EACH DAY
* During warm-up time each day you need to do the following: update your weekly work schedule post (if need be), update your time sheets, copy your pay check stubs, record your pay check stubs information on the yellow PAY CHECK RECORD SHEET
* read my blog completely and fully

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
2) Move out to the center of the room. Get out a sheet of notebook paper and get something out to write with. DO NOT LOG OFF YOUR COMPUTER.
3) Quick activity
4) Review a few business letter parts (things that are consistently being done incorrect)
5) Type another BLOCK BUSINESS LETTER (DUE BY THE END OF THE PERIOD TODAY)

DAILY AGENDA, WEDNESDAY 1/14/09

WARM-UP: (only 10 minutes to complete)
1) Ask yourself have you done everything you should do at the beginning of class each day???? I will be taking a grade on one of those activities that you should do each day, that must are not. (Hint: it's something I can see from my computer seat as to who did it and who didn't.)
2) Update paycheck stubs copies, paycheck stub record sheet, work schedule on your blog if need be.
3) Finish any of the letters we have typed the last several days. Those handouts are located on the boxes in front of my front teacher desk. They are in the order we did them starting from the Left.
Letter #1: the to "Mr. Best" letter
Letter #2: the gold handout - "Business Students Association"
Letter #3: BLOCK STYLE BUSINESS LETTER - to Vera Hayes

New students this semester: I need your blog address so I can link it to mine. I also need to get some information about your jobs from you. I will call you up one by one to get that information. I also have a document you need to read and sign.

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
4) Discuss proper letter format one more time. Yall are either not paying attention, are confused, or don't care about whether you do it correctly or not.
We can do business letters for the rest of the year if you want. That's very easy for me. But I would hope that isn't what yall would want. So in order to move on, I need for you to grasping the format better and typing the letters correctly.

5) READ DIRECTIONS ON EVERYTHING I GIVE YOU!!

WARM-UP: (warm-up should never take longer than 7-10 minutes)
1) up date your work schedule post for this week #19 (if you have any changes)
2) run copies of pay check stubs if you brought any
3) up date your 4th six weeks time sheet
4) up date your pay check record sheet (yellow sheet)

If you haven't finished the typing the letter (gold paper) from yesterday, you must do that by the end of the period TODAY!

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
5) discuss modified block business letters
6) open punctuation vs. mixed punctuation
7) type a modified block business letter

3) move out to a desk in the center of the classroom

4) Discuss proper business letter formatting (take a few notes)
5) Type a business letter correctly (PRINT OUT due by the end of the period TODAY)

1) CHECK YOUR MAILBOX. BEGIN TO TRAIN YOURSELF, YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT EACH DAY WHEN YOU WALK IN.
2) If you did not post your work schedule on your blog yesterday, please DO SO TODAY. See yesterday's post for week # and formatting requirements.
3) Make copy of your pay check stubs and up date your pay check stub record sheet

Daily Agenda for WEDNESDAY, 1/7/09
WARM-UP:

1) Pick a computer and sit there. (I reserve the right to make a seatting chart if there is too much talking at inappropriate times.)
2) If you have your 4th six weeks time sheet with you, get it out and just hang on to it until I tell you otherwise.
3) Log on to your computer
4) Pull up my Blog, read it fully
5) Move out to seat in the center of the room
GET YOUR FOLDER AND TAKE IT TO YOUR SIT; BUT DON'T TAKE ANYTHING OUT OF IT OR PUT ANYTHING IN TO IT, UNLESS I TELL YOU DO DO SO.

DAILY ACTIVITIES:

6) Copy pay check stubs

7) Update pay check stub record sheet (yellow)

8) discuss schedules - jobs

9) Post assignment: post your weekly work schedule for this week on your blog.
