Daily Agenda, Tuesday 1/27/09

Hey guys.
Sorry I am not here for you today, but Madison (my daughter) is running a fever and I can't take her to daycare. I hope to be back tomorrow.

Please don't play on the Internet and play games. I would really like for you all to complete the assignment I have listed here. No one completed the assignment I made yesterday, because I didn't get any print outs. Please be sure and complete what I have left here for you to do TODAY.

DO NOT LET ME COME BACK TO A BAD REPORT FROM THE SUB FROM EITHER CLASS. YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH ME IF THAT HAPPENS.

W-2 FORMS ARE DUE COPIED AND IN YOUR FOLDER BY 2/9!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FOLDER OUT OF MY BLACK BOX AND KEEP IT. YOUR FOLDERS MUST STAY IN THAT BOX AT THE END OF EACH PERIOD.

We will continue with Monday's lesson on Wednesday, when I return. If you have a pay check stub to bring in, please do so by tomorrow and make copies so you can get your folder up-to-date.

Students new this semester, if you are not sure how to do any of the warm-up items listed, please ask a neighbor to help you out.

TODAY'S ACTIVITIES:
6) Click on the following link.
OSHA-Teen Workers Safety in Restaurants_Serving-Handout1
Open the document and print it out. This is your worksheet you must complete during class TODAY. AND YES YOU WILL BE TURNING IT IN SO I CAN SEE WHO DID WHAT TODAY.
If you do not follow directions, you will lose points off your Weekly Professional Development points, which as you should remember, is 1/6 of 10% of your average. There is no reason you should not be able to complete this entire worksheet during class today.

7) You will need to go to the following website in order to fill in the worksheet you just printed. http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/youth/restaurant/index.html
You will go through the etools site, reading the information and filling out the worksheet you printed out.

This is a great activity and you were going to do it whether I was here or not, at some point this semester. Whether you work in a Restaurant or not, the information you can learn from doing this activity can really be applied to all industries.

8) TURN IN YOUR WORKSHEET TODAY - IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE FINISHED OR NOT.
