DAILY AGENDA, TUESDAY 2/3/09

REMINDERS:
* Even though I am gone this week, you must still call or text me if you are going to be missing school for whatever reason. Just because I am gone does not mean you get a "free pass" on communicating with me.
Thank you to those of you who did that on Monday. Way to go!

* I am gone all week.
* Be on your best behavior all week please.
* Your folders are back in the big black crate and they are in the correct alphabetical order. Please be sure to keep them in the correct order.

* W-2 FORMS ARE DUE NEXT MONDAY, FEB. 9TH. BE SURE TO BRING THEM IN AND MAKE A COPY AND PUT IT IN YOUR FOLDER.

* New students please be sure that you get help with copying your paycheck stubs, recording your hours on the time sheet, and recording your paycheck stub information on your paycheck stub record sheet (yellow sheet). Everyone should have a folder in the crate. If you don't, please leave a comment on my blog and I will get you one. Everyone should have a box with their name on it. Please let me know if I have left you out. In addition, please make sure that you have corrected a blog and have left a comment on my blog so I can add your blog address to my blog.

* MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR MAILBOX EACH DAY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS PERIOD.

WARM-UP:
1) check your mailbox
2) update your time sheet (all should be in your folders)
3) make copies of your pay check stubs if you brought any in
4) update your yellow pay check stub record sheet
5) update you weekly work schedule on to your blog IF you were not here yesterday or if your schedule has changed. (Please see Daily Agenda, Monday 2/2/09 posting for week # and formatting example if you do not remember.)
6) COMMENT ASSIGNMENT: EVERYONE IS TO POST A COMMENT ON MY BLOG TODAY. POST THE COMMENT TO TODAY'S BLOG POST. TELL ME 1 THING YOU HAVE LEARNED THUS FAR FROM STUDYING THE OSHA-TEEN WORKERS SAFETY IN RESTAURANTS WEBSITE.

Points off for every day this in not posted correctly, completely or not at all.

CLASS ACITIVITIES:
* More work on the OSHA Teen Workers Safety in Restaurants website. I will probably be coming to collect what was turned in today, so you better make sure you complete all the work I have assigned yesterday and today.
* If you were absent on Monday, please see Daily Agenda, Monday 2/2/09, post and complete the assignment made on Monday, before beginning today's assignment.

6) Complete yesterday's worksheet, if you have not yet done so. OSHA-Teen Workers Safety in Restaurants_Serving-Handout2
7) Turn in Handout 2 once you have completed (should not take all period today).
8) Click on the following links. New handouts for today(you have 2 to complete today, because they are not very long at all -->

* Open the document and print it out.
* This is the worksheet you must complete during class TODAY. AND YES YOU WILL BE TURNING IT IN SO I CAN SEE WHO DID WHAT TODAY.
* If you do not follow directions, you will lose points off your Weekly Professional Development points.

* Please make sure you have completed yesterday's and today's worksheets by the end of the period, completely.

MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR NAME ON ALL PAGES OF THE WORKSHEET, IN CASE THEY GET SEPARATED. (points will be taken off if this is not followed)

* Click on the Clean-up tab
* The worksheet covers Electrical Hazards and

8) TURN IN YOUR WORKSHEET TODAY - MAKE SURE YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR WORKSHEET.THERE IS NO OTHER BLOG POST ASSIGNMENT ACCEPT FOR POSTING YOUR WEEKLY WORK SCHEDULE.

What i have learn today was how not to have your hands wet when you are going to pull a plug or near a wet place

I don't think I've really learned much besides the fact that we're suppose to have cameras and Sonic doesn't. Then again Sonic doesn't do a lot of professional things... /-:

One thing I have learn from working with this website is you should not pick up hot plates with wet towels.

I learned that you must move the glass or cup to you, when pouring, rather than overreaching with a heavy coffee pot or water jug to fill a glass

i learned what kinds of things we should have for it to be a safe enviorment. i also learned how to make it a safe-er enviorment when i work late nightss.

What I learned today was the safety precautions when closing, and to not be so open with cash.

I learned you should never close at night by yourself or alone with another male, if you're a female. :)
